Bengal BJP ultimately added two faces that will benefit them in the Lok Sabha Election 2024 and prepare the ground for the Assembly Election. A huge percentage of voters are annoyed with the activities of the ruling government of Bengal. But, there was no credible face to inspire the voters to support the BJP to bring any change in the future.

Suvendu Adhikari and Dr. Sukanta Majumder have been trying their utmost to perform their role as the opposition leaders. But, none of them were credible enough to the people of Bengal to move to the Bharatiya Janata Party against the corruption of the Trinamool Congress. By adding two personalities Tapas Roy and Abhijit Gangopadhyay to their team they have ultimately taken the complete focus of the political arena.

Tapas Roy resigned from the post of MLA on March 4, 2024 (Monday). He resigned from the ruling government of Bengal and organizational posts on March 1, 2024. Later he joined the BJP on March 6, 2024 (Wednesday). Kunal Ghosh of TMC, in his reaction, wrote on his X handle (formerly Twitter) that Tapas Roy’s defection was unfortunate. His joining the BJP was even more unfortunate. However, he hoped that Tapas Roy would not be affected by the Shuvendu-virus. Trinamool workers loved him. He should not make ugly attacks against the old party in BJP’s language by hurting their sentiments.

Kunal Ghosh and the State Education Minister Bratya Basu visited Tapas Roy at his B. B. Ganguly Street house last Monday to convince him. But Tapas made it clear in their tea-meet that it was too late. As soon as the Kunal brothers left his house, Tapas took a bath and left to resign from the assembly. He confirmed the speculation after that and joined the Padma camp on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. In the morning, Amit Malavya and Mangal Pandey, one of the Bengal observers, called him on behalf of the central BJP. After joining the BJP, Tapas Roy said that he would never go to another team and do his duty with keen attention to whatever responsibility was given to him.

On the other hand, the recently retired Kolkata High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay has joined the BJP today. After resigning from the post of judge last Tuesday, March 5, 2024, he disclosed that he would join the Bharatiya Janata Party while facing the journalists. However, he did not say anything about whether he would contest the polls on the BJP ticket, or in which seat he would contest. He only said that all the decisions would be taken by the higher authority of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Former Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay has already become famous for his justice to the deprived people, especially the deprived teachers. Huge quantities of people of Bengal see him like a God. The only people who cannot tolerate him are the people of the TMC party and obviously, they are found guilty of performing huge corruptions. Former Justice Gangopadhyay opened their Pandora of corruption earlier and up to his last day of duty.

It is his new arena and let us see how he tackles these political situations. If the Bharatiya Janata Party can use him properly in their political stride, Abhijit Gangopadhyay can be an alternative face to be a Chief Minister in the future. More qualified people of various segments may assemble in the Bengal BJP brigade to rule the state of West Bengal properly. With an experienced leader like Tapas Roy and the Former Justice, the Bengal BJP brigade is likely to go in a tough fight in the coming elections.

Ridiculously, CM Mamata Banerjee has been attacking Mr. Abhijit Gangopadhyay after he joined the BJP party as if she is controlling everything – the government, the administration, party cadres, students, and overall the mind of the people. Mamata Banerjee is simply forgetting that she cannot control people’s minds.

Time will say everything and we have to watch and see how the situation turns and how the people react to the EVM.

In other news, we see that Sanjay Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party released a video on YouTube that went viral. In that video, Sanjay Singh told the truth about the Adani Scam which was unknown to most people in India.

He told the scam is a deep-rooted scam that happened in India. He alleged that the Narendra Modi government has given port, airport, mining, cement factories, contract of electric, contract of water supply, etc. He also told how Adani suddenly got the 2nd richest man in the world. Everything has become possible because he is one of the closest people to Narendra Modi.

Sanjay Singh disclosed that Adani purchased his own Indian companies share from the ‘Tax Heaven’ countries like Mauritius, Antigua, and Barbuda, etc. because he has to lift his share prices in India in a fraudulent way. Once the share prices of his Indian companies got lifted he took a huge amount of loan from Indian banks by showing his Indian share prices. Adani has taken a Rs 2,50,000 crore loan from Indian banks.

Sanjay Singh also told that according to previous news, the Narendra Modi government has forgiven a loan of Rs 74,000 crore. Adani increased his share prices in a fraudulent way and take loans from companies like SBI, LIC, etc. Sanjay Singh also alleged that the government of India instructed LIC to purchase Adani’s share. LIC has purchased Adani’s share of around Rs 87,000 crore. So, LIC, which is a trustworthy organization to the people of India, is at stake. Similarly, SBI has purchased Adani’s share of around Rs 1000 crore, and several other banks also gave him loans.

Sanjay Singh also told that he has written letters to Prime Minister, SEBI, Income Tax Department, CBI, and ED so that an immediate investigation should be there and Adani and his family member’s passports should be confiscated. There are several instances of persons fleeing to other countries like Nirav Modi (with Rs.20,000 crore bank fraud), Mehul Chauksi, Vijay Mallya (with Rs.10,000 crore bank fraud), Lalit Modi (with Rs.3,000 crore fraud), Nitin Sandesara (with Rs.5,000 crore bank fraud). But, the Narendra Modi government is taking no action against Gautam Adani, Singh said.

Rahul Gandhi raised the same question about Adani shell firms in the parliament and his relationship with Narendra Modi. Instead of taking any action against the fraud people, Rahul Gandhi’s Parliament membership has been canceled by the ruling BJP government of India.

Now, people have to raise the issue and force the government to disclose the truth. Otherwise, the federal structure of Indian Democracy will be violated.

In the face of the stubbornness of the farmers, the Modi government bowed down. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to withdraw all three controversial agriculture laws.

The PM made this big announcement in an 18-minute address to the nation, he said that the government brought this law in the interest of the farmers with a good intention, but the government failed to convince some farmers.

Some features of the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

1. First of all he wished Happy Diwali.

2. He said that his government was engaged in making the life of the countrymen easier just like the ideology of Guru Nanak while he adopted the path of service in the world. He said that their government has a plan to form 10,000 FPO Farmer Producer Organizations. The government has increased MSP and crop loans and was continuously taking one step after the other in the interest of farmers, especially the small farmers. Three agricultural laws were brought in this campaign so that the farmers would be benefited.

3. PM Modi further said that while apologizing to the countrymen, he wanted to say with a sincere heart that perhaps there must have been some deficiency in penance. Due to that, the government could not convince some farmers. He also urged the agitating farmers to return home and withdraw all three laws. The Parliament was going to start the session at the end of this month in which laws would be withdrawn.

4. The Prime Minister said that we have left no stone unturned to understand the farmers. They were even ready to change the provisions they objected to.

5. He said that 80 out of every 100 farmers in the country were small farmers. Even the small farmers have less than 2 hectares of land. The number of small farmers in India is more than 10 crores. His government gave top priority to farmer welfare. The central government made the crop insurance scheme effective. Soil health cards have been given to 22 crore farmers. The central government has been making every effort to give strength to the small farmers.

The national spokesperson of the United Kisan Morcha, Rakesh Tikait, who was leading the farmers’ movement on the Ghazipur border of Delhi-UP, said in response that there would be no immediate action to the farmers’ movement. In an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (United Kisan Morcha) demanded immediate resumption of talks with the Center with six demands.

In their open letter, they demanded legislation to ensure minimum support price (MSP) for all farmers. Withdrawal of all cases filed against the farmers and construction of a monument at the Singhu border in memory of the protesting farmers who died in the movement. They claimed that 700 farmers have died during the movement.

On the day of the Prime Minister’s announcement, the farmers’ leaders had informed that the movement would not be withdrawn until the agricultural laws were officially repealed in the Parliament.

The farmers’ movement will continue to demand the withdrawal of statutory guarantee of MSP and power amendment bill. Thanking the Prime Minister for his decision to withdraw the three agricultural bills, the Morcha said, “After 11-point talks, you have walked the path of unilateral declaration instead of bilateral solution!” According to the farmers’ statement, the MSP should respect the legal rights of every farmer in the country for all types of agricultural products on the overall cost of crop production, so that the MSP is guaranteed by the government.

The Morcha also demanded that the ‘Commission for Air Quality Management in the National Capital Region and Adjusting Areas Act’ and the disciplinary action taken against the farmers in 2021 should also be withdrawn.

The United Kisan Morcha has also demanded the dismissal and arrest of Union Home Minister Ajay Mishra. Ashish Mishra, the son of Ajay Mishra, was accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. It was alleged that four farmers died on October 3, 2021, after being crushed under the wheels of the minister’s SUV car. Extreme unrest and violence spread due to that incident. Four more were killed in the violence. More than a dozen people, including Ashish Mishra, have been arrested in the case.

The Morcha stated, “If the meeting does not start with these demands, the movement will continue”. It was written in Morcha’s letter – “Prime Minister, you have asked the farmers to return home. We assure you, we don’t like sitting on the street either. We also want to return to home, family, agriculture as soon as possible after solving these problems”.

After a year-long movement, the Narendra Modi government bowed down against the farmers because the majority of the people supported the farmers’ movement.

The prime question that is haunting every people of India currently is – have the fundamental rights of Indian people been damaged by Pegasus? The monsoon session of the Indian Parliament has been disrupted day after day with this burning issue. The Narendra Modi government has been facing this issue along with a series of issues like price hike of petrol, diesel, and LPG, the movement against farmers’ act, lack of vaccines in the country, principle of vaccination and pricing, etc.

Former Supreme Court Justice B N Srikrishna said, “The government is as much responsible for the surveillance of the phone as it is for Pegasus spyware and for the security of personal privacy that is being questioned across the country. This is an inconsistency under the Information Security Act.”  B N Srikrishna is the father of India’s personal information protection bill.

In an interview with the national media, former Supreme Court Justice B N Srikrishna said, “The government is bound to abide by the Information Security Act as all non-governmental organizations fall under it. If that law is violated, the government will have to answer. If the government wants to get any information on the basis of special needs, then the rules have to be brought in the parliament according to the rules.”

It was known that the Pegasus spyware has taken over the information of the country’s most powerful political personalities and journalists. According to the report, the Israeli spyware was spying on around 300 verified Indian telephone numbers, including those related to law, industrialists, businessmen, government bureaucrats, and scientists. There were 40 numbers of journalists also on the list. There were also phone numbers of two Union Ministers.

Justice Srikrishna raises the question of how the Pegasus scandal happens despite having strong data protection laws! In his words, “If there is legal activism, then the government is responsible for this incident. Because hacking this phone is not possible for any organization without the interest of the government. I think those who are victims of this issue should go to the Supreme Court and file a case. At least people should be informed about this. Confidentiality of information is a fundamental right of citizens.”

Cyber ​​experts say that this Pegasus software was created in 2019. Then the malware was inserted in the mobile through WhatsApp video call. Secret information was then snatched by hacking the numbers of 1400 people. The malware was installed on the phone with a missed voice call on WhatsApp. But, now the main target of hackers is Apple’s messaging application.

Currently, iMessage of the iPhone is being targeted. The message is being sent by adding malware to the customer’s iPhone. Even if you don’t click that image, malware is being installed on the phone. Even if the customer deletes the message without opening it, this deadly malware continues to circulate in the phone system. It grabs all the information including pictures, videos, audios, call lists, messages, even passwords.

Phone calls were eavesdropped on in France using Israeli spyware Pegasus. A French government spokesman said that President Emmanuel Macron has taken this issue seriously. He called a national security meeting to discuss the Pegasus scandal. Justice B N Srikrishna also questioned why there was no such activism on the part of the Central Government of India.

An Israeli journalist claims that NSO, the maker of Pegasus, was not an innocent company at all. The NSO claims that they created the spyware to fight criminals and terrorists. But according to international media reports, the spyware was used to monitor the leaders of different countries. The NSO knowingly helped Saudi Arabia locate human rights activists, journalists, and protesters.

The NSO already declared – they sell their software to a country only if the national government wants it. Here, the Narendra Modi government has to confirm why and when they purchased it. If they purchased it, then where was the approval of the parliament?

The news organizations like The Washington Post, The Guardian, Suddeutsche Zeitung, and Le Monde were able to identify the owners of 1571 phone numbers across 10 countries. They were able to identify independently. They forensically examined a small cross-section of phones along with these numbers for the presence of Pegasus.

The Washington Post says in their July 18, 2021 issue, “Private Israeli spyware used to hack cellphones of journalists, activists worldwide”. The Washington Post also says, “NSO describes its customers as 60 intelligence, military and law enforcement agencies in 40 countries, although it will not confirm the identities of any of them, citing client confidentiality obligations. The consortium found many of the phone numbers in at least 10 country clusters, which were subjected to deeper analysis: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Morocco, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Citizen Lab also has found evidence that all 10 have been clients of NSO, according to Bill Marczak, a senior research fellow.”

So, it is confirmed that the central government of India has used this Pegasus spyware to utilize the information of various people. The Modi government should remember that surveillance of citizens has no place in a democratic country.

The Block Panchayat President Election results in UP show an indication of the Assembly Elections to be held in 2022. BJP has hoisted the flag in the Block Panchayat President election. In the election that was held on Saturday, BJP has contested 735 Block Panchayats out of 825 and won 648 seats. So, it is clear that if the anti-BJP oppositions cannon able to maintain the ‘Federal Front’ the result of the Assembly Election 2022 in UP will be almost like this.

The Samajwadi Party has also claimed to score a century in the Block Panchayat President election. BJP’s ally Apna Dal (S) and independents have also captured more than 70 seats. Samajwadi Party’s account has not been opened in 14 districts, where the BJP candidates have won elections in all Block Panchayats.

In the election held for the post of president in 825 area Panchayats of the state, 349 Block Heads were elected unopposed. Out of these 349 posts, 334 BJP candidates were elected unopposed Block Heads. Voting for the post of chairman in 476 Block Panchayats in all 75 districts started at 11 am on Saturday.

The counting of votes took place after voting till 3 pm. By three-thirty the results had begun to come. Results came in all 476 District Area Panchayats by 6 pm. BJP Block Heads have been elected in 648 Block Panchayats.

Bombs, guns, sticks, rods, vandalism, beating of opposition candidates – all these incidents at Block Panchayat President Election in Uttar Pradesh reminded us of the West Bengal Panchayat Election in 2018. According to many, the violence in Uttar Pradesh may surpass incidents of West Bengal. A video of Unnao has come forward. It was seen that a Dalit candidate of Samajwadi Party was being kicked lying in the street. The Police forces are silent spectators standing in front of the ruling party supporters.

A clean sweep by BJP was reported in 14 districts

BJP has won elections in all the Area Panchayats of Lucknow, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Agra, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Shravasti, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pilibhit, Kannauj, Banda, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Sonbhadra districts.

This is a clear indication that the anti-BJP alliance has unable to create an impact in the minds of the people. If the trend continues, BJP will collect a majority of the votes in the coming Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh. It is also a lesson for the anti-BJP parties like Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Indian National Congress, Rashtriya Lok Dal, Aam Aadmi Party, Communist Party of India, etc. to abstain from fighting election individually. If they fail to become united in maintaining the ‘Federal Front’ in India, BJP will take the advantage to retain the power in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election in 2022.

The public trend in favour of BJP: CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi said that the tendency of the people was that they were in favour of the BJP. The strategy of the party proved to be effective. We were also first in the District Panchayat President Election. BJP had fielded its candidates in 735 Blocks out of 825. In some places, both the workers were fighting for the BJP. We had given up a total of 90 seats. In the trends so far, BJP was winning more than 635 seats. This number would increase further. These were the seats connecting the associates.

BJP state president Swatantra Dev said that the victory we have got was the effect of the plans of CM Yogi Adityanath. Law and order were tight. Girls could leave at 12 o’clock tonight. There was no corruption anywhere. BJP has got a bumper victory. This was the hard work of all the workers.

Was that really true?

The political analysts say that there is a lack of unity among the anti-BJP parties in the Assembly Constituencies of UP. Not only in UP, anti-BJP parties are all scattered throughout different states in India. They have to learn lessons from the West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 where anti-BJP parties remained united for a common cause or agenda called ‘No Vote To BJP’. In UP, the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Indian National Congress should have to take the pivotal role to make a common agenda to maintain the ‘Federal Front’ instead of fighting the election individually in Uttar Pradesh.

The representatives of 14 opposition parties met President of India Ram Nath Kovind regarding the brutal incident that happened at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi. The delegation of the opposition parties led by Sonia Gandhi approached the President and demanded that the government should repeal the Citizenship Act.

The opposition leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, said that the manner in which police cracked down on protesting students at Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University was a medieval atrocity.

In a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind, Congress President Sonia Gandhi said that the government has shown extreme brutality at Jamia Millia University. Students have been beaten in the students’ toilets inside the university premises. Sonia added, “The Modi government wants to choke the voice of the common man. This government cannot tolerate any criticism. They want to divide the country in the name of religion.”

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kapil Sibal, Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury and CPI leader D Raja were among the opposition delegation led by Sonia Gandhi.

Despite opposing the Trinamool in the state, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury was seen next to Derek in the all-India issue. He also said, “We have acknowledged the President about the anger of the people. We hope that President will do something by talking to the constitutional head of government.”

Derek O’Brien said that they have conveyed their message to the President that the whole country was on fire for a particular law. The central government has been escalating tensions. The government needed to repeal this law immediately to fix the situation. The way the law has been passed has struck at the fundamental section of our country’s constitution.

Sonia Gandhi expressed her anguish on the matter of how the police dealt with the peaceful demonstrations. The police got entry into the Jamia women’s hostel and dragged the women students out. The police mercilessly beat the students. We should not forget that peaceful demonstration is their constitutional right as is ours.
